BRABUS 750 Bodo Buschmann Edition "1 of 25" - Based on Mercedes-AMG SL 63

BRABUS 750 BODO BUSCHMANN EDITION "1 OF 25". LEGENDS NEVER DIE.

11.07.2023 - Let’s go back to the future! The year is 1996. The BRABUS 7.3S based on the Mercedes-Benz 600 SL is seen rolling onto the German Autobahn for its first official road test. With BRABUS founder Bodo Buschmann behind the wheel and the hood of the car left safely back at BRABUS HQ, the crew snaps one of the most iconic shots of our history – encapsulating everything we stand for in a single picture.

Now, the legend created that day lives on with a one-of-a-kind super roadster built exactly how Bodo Buschmann would have built it: The BRABUS 750 Bodo Buschmann Edition. Based on the Mercedes-AMG SL 63 platform, the BRABUS 750 is not just an homage, but a modern retelling of a story that defines BRABUS at its very roots. Production will be limited to only 25 units worldwide.

At the front, a range of BRABUS-typical carbon elements characterize the roadster's unmistakable face – including the BRABUS front fascia inserts, the BRABUS radiator grill and the BRABUS front spoiler, which, in addition to its unmistakable look, also significantly reduces lift at the front axles at high speeds. The luxury roadster’s next-level attention to detail is enhanced at the sides with carbon fiber front fender attachments, complete with integrated BRABUS logo. To give the rear end a sportier touch, the subtle carbon fiber rear spoiler attachment was integrated into the design in concert with the tailor-made carbon fiber rear diffuser – perfectly highlighting the quad tailpipes of the BRABUS high-performance exhaust system and impressing with its black and bold looks.

Equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 engine equipped with two BRABUS high-performance turbochargers, the two-door super-roadster sprints from 0 – 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds. Its top speed is electronically limited at 315 km/h to protect the Continental SportContact 7 performance tires. 900 Nm of lightning-fast torque are unleashed instantly courtesy of its nine-speed automatic transmission, which can be shifted either automatically or manually via the paddle shifters at the steering wheel – all at the driver’s leisure.

Inspired by the iconic late eighties styling of the original BRABUS Monoblock II, the BRABUS 750 “Bodo Buschmann Edition” is equipped with 21- and 22-inch BRABUS Monoblock II Evo “Platinum Edition” forged wheels.

No color represents Bodo Buschmann and his personal taste in cars as black; And even after more than four decades, the shine of an all-black signature design remains an indispensable pillar of the BRABUS design DNA. That’s why there is only one color scheme dominating the interior of the BRABUS 750 Bodo Buschmann Edition – black on black.

Matching black stitching working in concert with black piping tastefully underscores the BRABUS “R-Sport” quilting pattern, one of Bodo Buschmann’s favorite designs. For an additional touch of heritage, the BRABUS “Heritage” brand pattern featuring embossed “77” signets was applied to several sections of the cockpit, including the seat side bolsters, the sides of the center console, and the sun visors to commemorate the year 1977, when BRABUS was founded.
